Auto Insurance State Rates

New data was just released that ranks auto insurance rates from highest to lowest per state. The information was released from a study Quadrant Information Services performed. The info pulled average insurance premium rates from 2400 cars from six large carriers across 10 zip codes in each state. The data looked at rates for 2010 models. It appears that the states with the highest rates are those with certain regulations that drive up the cost of insurance rates. Louisiana was the highest with a premium north of $2,500 while Maine was a the cheapest with a premium just north of $900.
